Royal Opera House 'Trailblazing' with Herringham pupils...

Herringham pupils recently took part in the 'Royal Opera House 10' event, which celebrated 10 years of the Royal Opera House’s involvement in the Thurrock area since High House was built in Purfleet, Essex.

Herringham Primary Academy is part of the ROH’s scheme, Trailblazer, which links the ROH with education, allowing pupils to take part in cultural diverse activities involving the arts. The pupils engage in cultural events that they might never have had the opportunity to witness.

Over the day the pupils learnt opera, took ballet lessons and watched professional ballet dancers perform a rendition of Swan Lake. They even took part in a re-imagining of Alice in Wonderland!
