We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to join our outstanding governance team who is either an experienced governor or new to governance; training will be provided. Recently voted Governing Body of the Year by the Thurrock Education Awards 2015
Thurrock Education Awards recently presented the ‘Governing Body of the Year’ Award to Herringham Primary Academy for 'a team of volunteer governors that has helped to drive up education standards at their school.'
Miss Maggie Smith, Chair of Governors, said “I am thrilled and delighted that the governing body has been recognised for all their hard work that they do in and out of the school. The volunteer governors work tirelessly for the good of the school and are very grateful for the recognition that this award signifies.”

Register of Business Interests for School Governors
The register should set out the relevant business interests of governors and details of any other educational establishments they govern. The register should also set out any relationships between governors and members of the school staff including spouses, partners and relatives.
